An Afternoon/Sunset Walk at Shipley
Go out for an afternoon walk at this time of year, and before you know it the sun has dropped down beyond the horizon.
For me there are a lot of advantages to visiting Shipley - it's near, feels like open countryside far away from houses and traffic (it was saved from development by being an open cast mine!), and you can choose to walk across open fields, on paths under huge beech trees or along private roads with good footing.
As we usually do for a late-in-the-day walk, we headed under the beeches on Horsepool hill, round by the old hall's entrance drive, and back down the road (in case the light went completely).
Another beautiful end to a winter's day - far nicer than wind and rain :)
